TravelFrom abroad, by plane: Oeiras is served by the Lisboa International Airport (20 km away from Oeiras). From Lisboa, by train: Suburban trains are available to/from Lisboa Cais do Sodre station to Oeiras. This station is connected to the Metro in Lisboa. For those who intend to reach us by car, Oeiras is served by several roads and the A5 motorway, about 10 km from the western town limit of Lisboa.AccommodationWe are eager to help you find suitable accommodation in Lisboa or nearer in the area of Oeiras where the choice may be a bit more difficult, provided that you give us some time to handle it. Room rates vary a lot. Prices depend on the location, the time of the year, and the lodging quality. The range goes from Eur 21 in a youth hostel to Eur 70 in a very comfortable hotel on the seaside. Of course, hotel fares rise in the summer so you should ask us to help you to book at our negociated rates. You will be totally responsible for your expenses, but we can help you to find a place that suits your needs. Just let us know in advance what your preferences are.MealsThe IGC has a local cafeteria where a lunch costs about EUR 6, cheaper if it is not a full meal. Simpler, cafeteria-like food is also available. For dinners there is plenty of choice in the Oeiras area and in Lisboa. For your reference, a meal in a simple restaurant costs typically EUR 7.50 to 10.00 . |
